Matters and workflows
Everything hangs off the matter: documents, reviews, findings, deadlines and audit. Workflows turn a review you run repeatedly into one click.
A matter is how LexCore organises work. Depending on your tenant type, it is a case register for litigators or a contract register for transactional and in-house teams. Documents, reviews, findings, obligations and the audit trail all hang off a matter, and everything is scoped to your tenant and matter (see Security architecture).
- Register. Each matter holds its counterparty, jurisdiction, team roles (lead, partner, reviewer), documents and status.
- One place for the work. A review, its citation-anchored findings, its redline and any tracked obligations all sit under the matter that produced them.
Workflows
A workflow is a repeatable pipeline built from steps (review, redline, compare) that you run against a document or matter, with a configurable number of debate rounds. A "Standard Review" workflow is created automatically, so there is something to run on day one.
Note
Workflows make a house style repeatable. The steps, the playbook and the review depth are the same every time, which is what keeps output consistent and auditable across a team.
